先日、Linkin Park – Wisdom, Justice and Love + Iridescent (lyrics)の映像をブログにアップしました。
これは、Linkin Park ４枚目のアルバム『A Thousand Suns』に収録されている曲です。Iridescentは映画『Transformers: Dark of the Moon』エンディングテーマ曲として知られています。そして、Wisdom, Justice, And Loveは、故Martin Luther King Jr.の演説をサンプリングした印象的な曲。
そのスピーチは次のような内容ですが、戦争の世紀と言われる２０世紀が終わった今もいろいろと考えさせられます。そして、戦争はしない方がいいとわかっていながら、太平洋戦争へと進んでいった過去のことも・・・

新しい年が始まりましたが、社会には様々な課題があふれており、改善の見通しもはっきりしません。
過去の歴史に学びながら、様々な課題を解決し、社会生活を改善していくためのロードマップを共有していく必要を感じます。
映画『Transformers: Dark of the Moon』エンディングテーマ曲のタイトルIridescentには玉虫色という意味もあります。
しかし、現代社会が求められているロードマップは、玉虫色の曖昧なものでないことは確かでしょう。Martin Luther King Jr.にはなれませんが、真剣に考え、そして行動できる大人でありたいと思っています。
Martin Luther King Tribute – Full Justiceというコメント付きの映像がYou Tubeにあったのでこちらも紹介しておきます。
Justiceという言葉が意味することについても検討してみたいですが、まだまだ力不足です。残念・・・
